North Carolina Park Rangers at the Library

Last week we went to the library in Oxford where there was a talk about dangerous animals and plants in North Carolina, put on by an NC park ranger. We learned about venomous snakes, poison ivy, spiders, raccoons, and wasps. Dahlia raised her hand and told the ranger that Mama killed a copperhead in our yard the other day. The ranger said he would never advocate for killing any snake, but when a venomous one is on your property and near your pets and children, you do what you have to do to protect them.
